Trish Hartwick - Real Estate Agent
Trish still remembers her first visit to Northern Michigan more than 30 years ago. Fresh out of Central Michigan University, she drove north from downstate and was captivated: lakefront communities, ski hills, endless outdoor adventure. She knew immediately that this was home.
Today she helps other families arrive at the same conclusion. Trish and Bob founded their own team in 2004, now Hartwick Up North Homes with Coldwell Banker Schmidt, and set out to build a practice on relationships rather than transactions. It shows in the numbers: roughly a quarter of the homes they sell each year are for past customers who came back.
The business is run jointly by the savvy pair. Trish drives hard, for her customers and for Hartwick Up North Homes. Together, Trish and Bob close 60 to 80 transactions a year on both sides of the table. Trish is expert in planning and execution, and she makes the calls that bring listings and buyers in. Thirty years in this market have made her an expert in how Northern Michigan property actually trades: which buyers show up for which lake, what a home is worth this season, and what it takes to get a deal from accepted offer to closing without surprises. Her approach is simple: listen carefully, communicate clearly, and solve problems before they become problems. Customers describe the result as a process they felt in control of from the first meeting to closing.

Trish and Bob have been married more than 30 years, raised their son, Will, here, and share their lives with Griffin (an Australian Shepherd) and Bo (a Golden Retriever).

You'll find Trish running local trails year round, skiing in winter, and golfing in summer. She and Bob love traveling together, but they always come back to this special place they call home.
Trish is a member of Holy Childhood Church and actively supports the American Cancer Society, with a special focus on breast cancer research. With each closing, she and Bob contribute to the local Child Abuse Prevention and Education Council.
